A full-time opportunity is available for an experienced educator specializing in serving Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students in a K-12 public school setting. This position is based in Florida and offers a full academic year contract, providing a rewarding environment to make a significant impact within a diverse student population. Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction and support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across multiple grade levels Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to develop individualized education plans Implement appropriate communication strategies and educational interventions tailored to students needs Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches accordingly Participate in professional development and team meetings related to DHH education Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid teaching certification with endorsement or specialization in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education Experience working with a mixed-age caseload in a school setting preferred Strong knowledge of communication modes and strategies relevant to DHH learners (e.g., ASL, speech, auditory-verbal techniques) Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams Dedication to supporting diverse learning styles and fostering student achievement Location and Schedule: Position located in Bushnell, Florida Full-time schedule, 37.5 hours per week Serving a mixed-age student population (K-12) This role has been a challenging position to fill, highlighting the urgent need for qualified professionals passionate about supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
