This opportunity is for a part-time Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) services within a K-12 school setting, focusing on supporting students in grades 3-7. The role is onsite only, providing direct and consultative instructional services to a small caseload of six students, offering a personalized and impactful teaching environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct instruction and consultative support to students with hearing impairments, tailoring strategies to meet individual learning needs. Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate DHH strategies into the general education curriculum. Monitor student progress and adapt instructional methods to promote academic and social development. Maintain accurate records of student performance and communications with families and school personnel. Qualifications & Experience: Proven experience working with students who have hearing impairments is preferred. Strong knowledge of educational strategies and accommodations for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Ability and willingness to work onsite exclusively. Effective communication and collaboration skills to engage with students, families, and staff. Location: Position is based onsite at a school in Bronx, NY. Schedule & Duration: Part-time commitment of 6 to 8 hours per week. Contract position for the school year.
