A K-12 educational position is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf/Hard of Hearing or Visually Impaired students. This contract role supports the unique learning needs of students with hearing or visual impairments in a structured school environment. The assignment is based in Pueblo, CO, and spans the current school year (CSY). Responsibilities include: Developing and implementing specialized instructional strategies tailored for Deaf/Hard of Hearing or Hearing Impaired and Visually Impaired students Conducting assessments and monitoring student progress Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure students individual education plans (IEPs) are effectively executed Utilizing assistive technology and resources to enhance student learning and communication Advocating for students access to all school activities and resources Qualifications: Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or Hearing Impaired, or Teacher for the Visually Impaired Experience working with K-12 students who have hearing or visual impairments Strong knowledge of auditory and visual support methods and assistive technologies Ability to create adaptive instructional materials and foster an inclusive classroom environment Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Location: Pueblo, Colorado This contract engagement offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the education of students with sensory impairments during the school year.
