A teaching opportunity is available for an educator specializing in working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing at an elementary school setting. This is a contract position for the Extended School Year (ESY) program. Location: Bay Shore, NY Duration: Immediate start through August 15 Schedule: 5 hours per week Flexible scheduling with the ability to choose the day to work 10 hours owed from previous arrangements can be made up within the given timeframe Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction and support to elementary students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual student needs Collaborate with school staff and families to support student progress Monitor student performance and adjust teaching methods as needed Qualifications: Certification or significant experience teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing students Strong communication skills and ability to create an inclusive learning environment Ability to maintain flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the program This position offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to contribute to the educational development of students during the summer session.
