The Dance Academy of Virginia, located in both McLean and Alexandria, VA offers programs for students ages 2 and up. Awarded Best Dance School in Mclean for 2022, 2023, & 2024 we offer pre-professional, children, and adult programming in ballet and contemporary styles. We are a professional team of experienced teachers and staff, who work together to nurture and support our students through quality dance education!

We are looking for experienced dance teachers who can instruct classes for all levels and ages in a variety of styles. Dance styles include- ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, tap, acro, and competition choreography and rehearsals.

Teaching experience is required, with a professionally trained background in your styles of expertise. Priority is given to versatile teachers who have experience teaching pre-school through high school in various styles. Instructors will be responsible for setting lesson plans, following curriculum, and choreographing/rehearsing recital choreography for each of their classes.

The candidate must enjoy and work well with children and set balance of high expectations through nurturing positive motivation while establishing an energetic dynamic and trusting environment to build confidence and excellence.

We are currently looking for both part time and full time teachers. Teaching opportunities include daytime camp teachers for the Summer, Evening weekday classes (4-8pm), and Saturday classes (9am-1pm.) Full time employees have the opportunity for artistic coordination and other administrative roles.
