St. Paul High School, a co-educational Catholic college preparatory high school in Santa Fe Springs, is seeking a faith-filled and passionate Choral Teacher to lead a vibrant, growing choral music program. The ideal candidate will combine musical excellence with a desire to form students in faith, character, and artistic expression. This is a part-time position with the intention to grow into full-time as the program builds.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a choral music curriculum aligned with diocesan and national standards for music education.

Direct and rehearse various school choral ensembles, including concert choir, liturgical choir, and other vocal groups.

Lead music for school liturgies, Masses, and other religious celebrations in collaboration with Campus Ministry.

Teach vocal technique, sight-singing, music theory, and choral literature from a variety of genres, including sacred and classical repertoire.

Prepare students for performances, competitions, festivals, and community events that reflect the school’s mission.

Encourage student participation in music ministry and foster an appreciation for sacred music traditions.

Cultivate a classroom culture rooted in respect, inclusion, and Catholic moral values.

Collaborate with faculty, administration, and parish or diocesan partners. Requirements

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Vocal Performance, Choral Conducting, or a related field.

Preferred: Valid state teaching certification/license in Music (grades 9–12)/Master’s degree

Proficiency in piano/keyboard and ability to accompany rehearsals and liturgies. Skills and Abilities: Strong vocal, conducting, and musicianship skills.

Excellent classroom management and interpersonal communication.

Ability to integrate Catholic teachings into daily instruction and student interaction.

Passion for working with young people and helping them grow in faith and artistry.
