We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Child Care Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children. Your primary focus will be on fostering the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child in your care. You will work closely with parents and other staff members to ensure that each child's needs are met and that they thrive in a supportive atmosphere.
*Duties* * Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. * Supervise children during playtime, meals, and nap times to ensure their safety and well-being. * Observe and assess children's progress in various developmental areas. * Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns. * Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment. * Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational program. * Manage behavior in a positive manner, using effective behavior management techniques. * Provide first aid when necessary and maintain health standards within the classroom.
*Skills* * Strong knowledge of childhood development principles. * Experience in caregiving or working with children in a preschool or daycare setting. * Proficiency in toddler care and infant care practices. * Ability to manage behavior effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment. * First aid certification. * Experience with nannying or babysitting is a plus. * Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and staff members. * Passion for working with children and fostering their growth through engaging activities. * Must be able to pass a livescan. * Mandated reporter course. * TB, TDAP, MMR shots are required to work in childcare centers.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $24.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday
Experience: * Teaching: 2 years (Required) * Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification: * Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
