The YMCA of the Fox Cities is hiring both full-time & part-time child care teachers to act as float staff throughout our center. Be a strong, kind and gentle spirit with the ability to work with children ranging in age from 12 months through 6-years old. As an early childhood teacher, you'll have the opportunity create lessons plans, foster an environment for early learning & social development. Enhance children's learning experiences through play, language, and interactive activities. Families love bringing their children to the Y because of our amazing teachers and the high-quality of child care.

This role can be full- or part-time with opportunity for hours Monday through Friday between 6:30 am-5:45 pm.

Requirements

Applicants who do not obtain these courses are encouraged to apply. The Y can provide coursework & support to complete these requirements. 18 years of age or older. Completed high school or its equivalency as determined by the DPI. Previous experience working with infants and children is preferred. Assistant Teacher Positions Possess one or more of following or willing to complete within 6-months of hire: Completion of Introduction to Child Care Professions course At least 2 credits in early childhood education, qualifying coursework Assistant Teacher registry certificate Lead Teacher Positions Possess one or more of the following or willing to complete within 6-months of hire, in addition to completing Introduction to Child Care Professions: Skills and Strategies for the Childcare teacher Associate's degree or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or education-related.
