Summary

The Child Care Learning Center is hiring a full-time Assistant Teacher for the Infant Program. The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• A CDA, or an Associate's degree, or a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education
• One or more years working in a child care center
• A professional work ethic
• Excellent communication and time management skills

Duties

Primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Working under the direction of a Lead Teacher in all classroom activities, including the production of daily notes and parent communications.
• Supporting play and nature-based learning activities
• Participating in training and educational opportunities to expand child development knowledge
• Adhering to child care licensing standards and CCLC policies

Requirements

At a minimum, all candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 years of successful work experience
• 3 references, one of which must be from a current or past employer
• An understanding of all applicable child care licensing standards
• Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 35-40 hours per week
• The ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Excellent communication and time management skills

CCLC is a non-smoking campus, and preference will be given to non-smoking candidates. CCLC requires an annual flu shot for all employees and up-to-date TDAP immunization for this classroom.

Candidates are required to pass criminal background checks, 10 hours of preservice training, and a 3-hour orientation.
