Position: Certified Math Teacher
Compensation: Up to $50 per hour

What You'll Do:

General Responsibilities: Design and implement instructional plans that adhere to district curriculum standards. Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to actively engage students in their learning. Continuously assess student performance through informal and formative evaluations. Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and the broader community. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and strengthen community relations. Commit to ongoing professional development and the integration of technology into the classroom. Participate in district-wide professional development opportunities. Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
What You'll Need (Qualifications): Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Valid State of Michigan Teaching Certificate with a Math endorsement. Proficiency in utilizing technology for instructional purposes. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Understanding of the academic, social, and emotional needs of students.
Bonus Skills (Additional Qualifications): Skilled in documenting student services provided. Ability to manage caseloads effectively while meeting deadlines for paperwork.
Key Areas of Responsibility (Day-to-Day): Prepare thoroughly for each class by developing annual plans, unit plans, syllabi, lesson plans, and grading assignments while maintaining communication with parents and students. Submit weekly lesson plans for review. Organize and lead parent-teacher conferences three times a year. Attend all faculty meetings to collaborate with staff. Develop and implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain discipline and foster a positive learning atmosphere. Learn to use the online grading system efficiently.
