About the Role: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide virtual instruction and support to K12 students throughout Alabama. This full-time remote position offers the opportunity to teach from your home while making a meaningful impact on student development and accessibility in education.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver live virtual instruction to K12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students needs
Utilize engaging, accessible digital tools to enhance student learning and communication
Modify general education curriculum to support DHH learners effectively
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to Alabamas educational standards and reporting requirements
Support students academic and communication skill development in a virtual setting
Qualifications: Masters Degree in Deaf Education or a closely related field (required)
Valid Alabama teaching certification with Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement (required)
Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (preferred)
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication methods commonly used in DHH education
Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional home workspace
Experience with virtual instruction is a plus, but not mandatory
