In this hybrid position, you'll start the day as the first welcoming face to children and families-ensuring calm, safe, and smooth morning operations-before transitioning into your role as a nurturing, responsive teacher in our infant room. Key Responsibilities
?? Morning Opening Responsibilities (6:00 AM - 9:00 AM)
- Open the center daily, ensuring it is clean, safe, and ready for children and staff.
- Greet children and families by name with warmth and professionalism.
- Communicate any parent notes, updates, or special instructions to the Director team.
- Escort children to their classrooms and assist with early transitions.
- Oversee morning routines and provide light classroom support as needed.
- Model a calm, prepared, and positive tone to start the day right.
- Uphold all DHHS and center policies for health, safety, and supervision.
- Build a nurturing and emotionally responsive environment for infants.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support social, cognitive, and motor development.
- Feed, diaper, and comfort infants with attentiveness and care.
- Document observations and developmental milestones; communicate progress with families.
- Create a calm, loving classroom that supports trust and security for every child.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and engagement throughout the classroom day.
- Cover staff breaks or float as needed to maintain ratio and support smooth transitions.
- Communicate effectively with co-teachers and leadership throughout the day.
- Uphold a standard of professionalism, reliability, and team-first attitude.
- Support a culture of mutual respect, warmth, and positivity.

Qualifications
- Prior experience in a licensed child care center preferred (infant experience highly valued).
- Strong communication and multitasking skills.
- Meets all state licensing requirements, including background checks.
- CPR/First Aid Certified or willing to obtain upon hire.
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs and comfortably support infant caregiving routines.
