About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Assistant Toddler Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the lead teacher in creating a safe and nurturing environment for our young learners. You will be expected to provide support in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities that promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth of the children. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining open communication with parents and other staff members to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent 6+ months experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center or comparable setting Ability to pass BCI/FBI and ODJFS Background Check Preferred Qualifications: 1+ year experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center or comparable setting Some completion of college-level coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field CPL II or Child Development Associate Certificate upon hire (CDA sponsorship available) Responsibilities: Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for toddlers. Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. Maintain open communication with parents and other staff members. Assist with daily tasks such as feeding, diapering, and cleaning. Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
Skills:
As an Assistant Toddler Teacher, you will utilize your skills in communication, organization, and creativity on a daily basis. You will work closely with the lead teacher to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth of the children. Additionally, you will need to be able to communicate effectively with parents and other staff members to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students. Your ability to be patient, flexible, and attentive to detail will be essential in this role.
