Summary

A Child's Garden in Fairfield, CT is looking for a full time teacher to work full time Monday - Friday. We are looking for a fun loving, dedicated, reliable person who loves working with children. We are looking for someone who wants to make Early Childhood their career.

Duties

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Teacher for our infant/toddlers as well as a floater to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering a positive learning environment for children in our infant/toddler classrooms. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, promoting social and emotional development, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. You will work closely with children, parents, and staff to provide a supportive educational experience. We are looking for someone who is fun, loving, creative, dependable and is looking to make the Early Childhood field their career.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
  • Monitor children's progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Engage with parents through regular communication regarding their child's progress and classroom activities.
  • Implement effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Provide care for toddlers, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met throughout the day.
  • Administer first aid when necessary and maintain a safe environment for all children.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience for all students, including those with disabilities.
  • Is able to bend, scat, sit on the floor and lift up to at least 50lbs.
Skills
  • Strong classroom management skills to create an organized learning environment.
  • Experience in preschool education or toddler care is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of first aid procedures to ensure children's safety.
  • Ability to educate young children using engaging teaching methods.
  • Experience working with children in various settings, including nannying or babysitting roles.
  • Understanding of the unique needs of children with disabilities to provide appropriate support.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff members.

Requirements

*At least a high school diploma
*experience working in a day care setting.
