Little Lambs at Bay Leaf has had the opportunity to serve our community for over twenty years and is currently seeking Lead, Assistant, and Substitute Teachers in our one-year-old and two-year-old classes. We operate from late August through May and offer three weeks of summer camps during the summer. Our staff hours are 9 am to 2 pm Monday – Friday. We have open positions that are Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday as well as a five-day (Monday-Friday) position available. We focus on providing daily growth in the following areas: Bible, academics, social/emotional, language, cognitive, and physical in a developmentally appropriate environment that is safe, fun, positive, nurturing, and loving. We strive to provide a great working environment where teachers are appreciated and cared for as they care for the children. Lead teachers are responsible for lesson plans and family newsletters based upon the scope and sequence outlined by Administration as well as the care of the children. Assistant teachers are responsible for supporting the lead teacher and helping implement the created lesson plans. Interviews are currently being conducted and will continue through late August or until all positions are filled. Our pay rates are competitive. Duties and Responsibilities: Support the lead teacher in lesson implementation and classroom management. Assist with daily routines and care for children’s needs. Provide daily care for children, including diaper changing as needed. Create a loving, nurturing, and fun classroom environment. Maintain open and effective communication with parents. Work together as a team to support each child’s growth and development.
Qualifications: We are looking for staff who have experience in a preschool/childcare setting or who are moving from teaching older children to a more flexible environment. Early Childhood Teaching Certification or a teaching degree is a plus. If you do not have experience but love children and are willing to learn new skills, we welcome your application.
