The Goddard School® located in Alpharetta, GA 30022 is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our Older Toddler classroom , serving children ages 15 to 24 months . This is an exciting age of discovery, independence, and language growth—and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to help guide toddlers through this dynamic stage of development.

Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Support
Work closely with the Lead Teacher to implement age-appropriate activities, routines, and learning experiences that align with our Wonder of Learning® curriculum.
Child Supervision
Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care during indoor and outdoor play, mealtimes, rest periods, and transitions.
Daily Care
Assist with diapering, feeding, napping, and supporting self-help skills while maintaining a clean, organized classroom environment.
Positive Interaction
Build nurturing relationships with children and engage with them at their level through play, conversation, and hands-on learning.
Family Communication
Support the Lead Teacher in maintaining open and positive communication with families regarding their child’s day and progress.
Team Collaboration
Be a dependable, positive team member who supports classroom goals and works collaboratively with fellow teachers and staff.
Professional Development
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to continue growing in your role and within the early childhood field.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
CDA or enrollment in an early childhood education program is a plus
Previous experience in a licensed childcare setting is preferred
Completion of state-required pre-service training or willingness to complete upon hire
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
A nurturing, patient, and energetic personality
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed in the care of children
