We are seeking a talented individual to join our diverse team of dedicated early childhood professionals. The Assistant Teacher partners with the Lead Teacher to implement the curriculum and daily routines.

The schedule is 30 hours per week year round. The hours are 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Education staff receive a set and consistent schedule that includes daily planning and professional time outside of the classroom.

Program Highlights:

Team approach to supporting children and families to be ready for kindergarten. Committed staff: average length of teacher service at CAPIC is 11+ years. Focus on building strong family participation and engagement in all aspects of program.

Your skills and qualifications:

Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalency, 9 months work experience in preschool setting, and completion of Child Growth and Development course. Willingness to enroll in CDA or Associate's in Early Childhood Education degree program. Preferred: CDA or AA degree in Early Childhood Education Must have strong computer skills, and experience utilizing TS Gold preferred. Enthusiasm and capacity to learn/implement OWL and Building Block curriculum. Experience working in early childhood setting serving a diverse population of children. Bilingual Spanish or Arabic speakers are encouraged.
