Summary

Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church Preschool, located 4 miles south of Old Town Alexandria, is looking for an energetic, warm and friendly teacher to join our dynamic early learning community! We are seeking a 2 to 5-day assistant teacher to float in our classes, helping out as a third teacher. The candidate must have experience working with young children and ideally have a degree or certificate related to early education. The candidate will enjoy partnering with fellow teaching team members and communicating with parents in person and online through our app. The hours for this position are 8:45 to 12:45, on the 2 to 5 days of the week agreed upon.

Duties

Collaborating with and supporting the lead teacher. Establish positive relationships and communicate effectively with children, staff, administration, parents, and members of the community. Provide appropriate safety, supervision, and support as applicable to program guidelines. Conduct light cleaning duties and sanitizing toys and table tops Adhere to all staff and program guidelines.
