About CDC:We are an NAEYC-accredited and a 4-star Texas Rising Star preschool in Southwest Austin. As an established non-profit preschool, our primary focus is on children, families, and staff. We serve infants through pre-K.
This position is Monday - Friday. Must be available to work 8:30 - 5:00 or 9:30am - 6:00pm.
This role is a year-round, non-exempt position. Entry-level applicants are welcome. This position starts August 11, 2025.

Duties Include: Collaborating with Lead Teacher to implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum that follows the standards for the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and Texas Rising Star. Support daily routines, including feeding, diapering, and nap schedules. Supporting childrens learning by implementing the lesson plan. Communicating with families both verbally and in writing. Establish and maintain strong communication with parents/guardians. Build positive relationships with families and co-teachers. Serve as a positive role model for all the children. Encourage language development through developmentally appropriate activities, songs, questions, books, and other means. Maintaining an organized and clean classroom environment is conducive to play-based learning. Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
Qualifications: Required: High School Diploma or GED Preferred: Associates in Early Childhood or a CDA; a Bachelor's in Education or Early Childhood is a huge plus Preferred: At least 1 year of experience with infants Candidates must meet all Texas DFPS and HHSC requirements and must pass state and national criminal background checks. Must be able to lift/carry 25+ pounds Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time General computer proficiency
