JOB SUMMARY: The Dougherty County School System is seeking a passionate and innovative instructor to lead the development and implementation of our new Artificial Intelligence (AI) pathway within the Career Technical Agricultural Education (CTAE) program. This instructor will be responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment that equips students with the foundational knowledge and practical skills necessary to pursue careers in the rapidly growing field of AI.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Engineering, or a closely related field; Prior experience working with AI technologies a strong plus; Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Strong understanding of fundamental AI concepts, including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision; Experience using and integrating technology in the classroom setting; Excellent communication, interpersonal, and instructional skills to effectively engage and motivate high school students; Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills; Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, administrators, and industry partners. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops and implements a comprehensive AI curriculum that aligns with educational standards and integrates with existing computer science programs; Delivers engaging and interactive lessons on various AI topics, including machine learning, neural networks, data analysis, natural language processing, and robotics; Utilizes a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and foster a hands-on learning environment; Guides students through practical AI projects, from concept to completion, encouraging creativity and problem-solving skills; Stays current with advancements in AI and technology education to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and cutting-edge; Collaborates with colleagues to integrate AI concepts across different subjects and interdisciplinary projects; Assesses and monitors student progress, providing timely feedback and support to help students achieve their full potential; Fosters an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement; Communicates effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a positive educational experience; Participates in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay informed about educational trends; Performs other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

SALARY RANGE: Competitive salary and excellent benefits package, in accordance with the DCSS Compensation Guide
