The Art Teacher at Torrington High School An is responsible for designing and delivering engaging, standards-based instruction in visual arts that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression. They develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the Connecticut Arts Standards, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback. The teacher also maintains a safe and inclusive studio environment, manages materials and supplies, and may coordinate exhibits or student participation in art shows. Collaboration with colleagues, families, and the broader school community is expected to support student growth and engagement in the arts.
