This position involves delivering Adaptive Physical Education services for K-12 students in a school setting. The role focuses on developing and implementing physical education programs tailored to meet the unique needs of students requiring adaptive services.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement individualized physical education plans for students with diverse abilities.
Assess students physical capabilities and adapt activities to promote inclusion and participation.
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure holistic student development.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and program effectiveness.
Provide a safe and supportive environment to encourage physical activity and motor skill development.
Qualifications:
Certification or licensure in Physical Education or Adaptive Physical Education.
Experience working with K-12 students in an adaptive physical education setting.
Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
Ability to modify activities to accommodate different physical and developmental needs.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
