A rewarding opportunity is available for an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to support the development and inclusion of elementary students through tailored physical education programs. This position is located in Livingston, LA, and offers a full contract for the upcoming school year. Key responsibilities include: Designing and implementing customized physical education activities that accommodate students with diverse abilities and needs. Collaborating with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Monitoring student progress and adjusting activities to ensure safety and promote physical development. Encouraging positive social interaction and confidence-building through adaptive physical education. Maintaining accurate records and participating in student evaluations and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings. Desired qualifications: Certification in Physical Education with specialized training or experience in Adaptive Physical Education. Experience working with elementary-aged children in an educational or therapeutic setting. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and engage students.
