Job Summary
Creates a flexible and supportive classroom environment that fosters learning and personal growth. Establishes rapport with students, parents, and staff, and motivates students to develop essential skills, attitudes, and knowledge. Reports to and is evaluated by the site principal.
This position requires a valid Alaska educator certificate. The number of work days is based on the AEA negotiated pay scale. Salary details and potential changes depend on student enrollment and staffing needs. Positions with different FTE levels have varying retirement benefit eligibility.

Physical / Mental Demands
Requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, speaking, and hearing. Visual abilities are essential. Occasionally lift items under 40 lbs. Must understand instructions, recall facts, handle conflicts, and make decisions under pressure. Must manage stress and work effectively with diverse individuals in a dynamic environment.
