The physical education teacher is responsible to follow each child’s IEP and provide instruction and assessment to students according to NYS learning
standards related to physical education.
Core Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate and implement the educational program for each child.
Function as a contributing member of each child’s interdisciplinary team.
Effectively oversee teacher aides, students, volunteers on all activities for program success.
Compile reports and statistics.
Maximize usage of supplies and equipment.
Participate in activities as part of the treatment team.
Provide physical education instruction and assessment.
Qualifications
Current NYSED Teacher Certification in Physical Education.
Valid NYS drivers license.
