A position is available for an Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher to provide specialized physical education instruction for K-12 students. This role is contract-based, covering a leave assignment, with an anticipated start date in the first or second week of August and expected to continue at least through October. The position is onsite and requires working directly with students in a school setting. Key Responsibilities: Deliver adaptive physical education programs tailored to the abilities and needs of students with disabilities. Assess individual student physical fitness and skills to develop appropriate instructional plans. Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and other school staff to support student progress. Maintain accurate records and documentation of student participation and outcomes. Ensure a safe and inclusive environment that promotes physical activity and skill development. Qualifications: Valid teaching credential with authorization in Adaptive Physical Education. Experience working with K-12 students requiring adaptive physical education services. Strong understanding of physical disabilities, accommodations, and modifications for physical activities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team. Ability to plan and implement individualized instruction and assessments. Location: Onsite position in Manteca, California.
