A position is available for an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to support elementary-aged students. This role focuses on delivering specialized physical education instruction tailored to meet the unique needs of students requiring adaptive programming. The position is based in Santa Rosa, CA, within an elementary school setting, and follows a contract for the 2025/2026 school year. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement adaptive physical education curricula for elementary students, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility. Assess students physical abilities and develop individualized lesson plans. Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and support staff to integrate adaptive PE goals. Monitor and document student progress and adjust instruction accordingly. Promote physical fitness, motor skills development, and social interaction through adapted activities. Qualifications and Experience: California Adaptive Physical Education (APE) teaching credential required. Experience working with elementary age groups highly preferred. Ability to develop and modify physical education lessons based on individual needs. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators and parents.
