District: Pitt County Schools Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the North Carolina English Language Arts (ELA) curriculum. This includes adapting instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Assess student learning through various methods, including tests, papers, and projects. Provide feedback to students and track their progress. Maintain a positive and productive learning environment. Establish and enforce classroom rules and expectations. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Participate in professional development and collaborate with other teachers. Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and grades. Have a strong understanding of English language arts, including grammar, composition, literature, and critical analysis. Stay current with best practices in English language arts instruction, including new technologies and teaching methodologies. All other duties as assigned.
