A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support Native/Indigenous students, specifically those from Ojibwe and Lakota backgrounds, within a K-8 educational setting. This contract position is designed for the next school year and offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM in the Minneapolis, MN area. Responsibilities include designing and implementing individualized education plans tailored to a caseload of approximately 15-18 students across grades K through 8. Collaboration with colleagues and families to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment is essential. The role demands a sensitive and culturally aware approach to teaching, with a focus on academic and behavioral development.
