The Fox West YMCA is hiring a full-time 4K assistant teacher for our Hortonville Area School District Community 4K Program. As a four-year old kindergarten teacher, located in Greenville, you'll create a learning environment that is safe and engaging for children of all abilities. 4K teachers bring fun and a sense of wonder to a classroom environment, teaching many of life's most important skills. Teaching staff follow the district's policies, state licensing requirements, and the procedures of the YMCA. Make a lasting impact as the next generation's first teacher.

Requirements

Applicants who do not obtain these courses are encouraged to apply. The Y can provide coursework & support to complete these requirements. 18 years of age or older. Completed high school or its equivalency as determined by the DPI. Previous experience working with infants and children is preferred. Assistant Teacher Positions Possess one or more of following or willing to complete within 6-months of hire: Completion of Introduction to Child Care Professions course At least 2 credits in early childhood education, qualifying coursework Assistant Teacher registry certificate Lead Teacher Positions Possess one or more of the following or willing to complete within 6-months of hire, in addition to completing Introduction to Child Care Professions: Skills and Strategies for the Childcare teacher Associate's degree or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or education-related.
