• College degree preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent required • Must be 18 years of age or older • All applicants must be US citizens or have a Work Visa or Work Permit. • Prior experience working with students in a classroom ·Good verbal and written communication skills • Ability and willingness to work well with others required • Ability to be flexible and adjust to new environments required • Strong classroom management skills required • Current S.C. teaching certificate required for long term substitute teaching positions - if certified in S.C. you will be hired as a certified sub. Responsibilities: ·Provides classroom instruction to students as assigned in lesson plans. ·Take attendance and document daily notes. ·Creates a classroom that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students. ·Remain in classroom and monitor students at all times ·Maintains discipline and classroom control that fosters a safe and positive learning environment for all students and staff in accordance with school district policies. ·Maintains established routine of the school and classroom procedures in which assigned. ·Maintains a professional appearance as an example to students. ·Maintains reasonable rules of conduct which encourage self-discipline and responsibility. ·Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor. Current Rate of Pay: Non Certified Subs without a SC Teaching certificate $120.60 a day - 7.5 hour workday - $16.08 an hour Certified Subs with an active SC Teaching certificate $144.45 day - 7.5 hour workday - $19.26 an hour Rates are for 25-26 have not been confirmed yet.
