Qualifications:

• Current Tennessee teacher's license with appropriate endorsements
• Valid driver's license
• 5-7 years of work-related experience
• Intermediate computer skills
• Excellent communication skills

Job Goals:

Collaborate with school staff district-wide to plan and provide behavior-related services and supports for students with disabilities.

Job Duties:

• Serve as a consultant to school staff concerning behavioral issues occurring with students with disabilities
• Conduct functional behavior assessments when appropriate
• Facilitate the development of behavior intervention plans and provide student-specific training to school staff on implementation fidelity
• Collaborate with district personnel and school teams to recommend appropriate placements for students with severe behaviors
• Assist in training school staff in proper de-escalation, and restraint/isolation techniques
• Assist in developing and providing professional development for building-level staff in related field
• Address parent, student, teacher, and administrator questions and attends IEP meetings as appropriate
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned
