Job Title: 2 Year Old Lead Teacher, Bardmoor YMCA Preschool Academy   Duties: Provide a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA values Implement curriculum within the established guidelines. Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling. Establish and enforces rules to promote positive behavior. Attend to children's basic needs including supervising meal times, playground times and free play. Conduct parent conferences, and maintains positive relationships and effective communication with parents. Engages parents as volunteers. Maintain required program records. Attend and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training. Requirements: At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent. Completion of MODS (Introductory Child Care Training, Part 1 & 2) is required. Experience working with preschool-aged children is a plus. A team player who works well with others and is able to engage with children both indoors and outdoors for extended periods. Available to work Monday through Friday. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and bending. Occasional lifting/moving of up to 40 pounds. Must be able to focus on close vision, distance vision, and depth perception while interacting with children. Ability to actively engage in planning, leading, and participating in activities.
