*Our Mission*: In an academy-par learning environment and facility, we provide exemplary academic and guidance resources to children, youth, and their families in the Watts community of Los Angeles. Exalting and sanctuarial, Strive is a safe haven for kids from the thorny issues and challenges they face on these streets, in their schools, and too frequently in their homes.
*Our History*: Strive was founded in 1990 and provided volunteer services to local non-profits in the Watts community from 1990 to 1995. Two adjoining properties were donated to Strive in 1995 and 1997. In 1999, funding was secured to renovate the first half of Strive and begin a small after-school academics program. Since 2000, Strive has operated as a behavioral and academic intervention program designed to motivate and support 1st to 12th-grade students attending public, charter, religious private, and non-religious private schools.
*Our Philosophy*: We want our children to experience the universal magical qualities of music and art in general - the elements that nourish, inspire, and strengthen the soul. Wokism, CRT, and any other adult-driven political agendas are *not* part of the program at Strive.
*Address*: 9124 South Main Street, Los Angeles CA 90003
Please forward your résumé and if you are able to fulfill the rigors of this vital role. We are interested in professionals with the ability to embrace and impart this philosophy while effectively and compassionately helping our students achieve grade-level proficiency.
