Peace Lutheran Early Childhood Center is seeking a Preschool Assistant Teacher that is reliable and friendly to work with children ages 2-4. The ideal candidate will possess classroom experience with with a group of children that are ages 2-4. This position requires the successful candidate to have patience and understanding, which will be beneficial in the classroom in addition to one-on-one interactions with children. This position requires bending and stooping to assist children in the bathroom with toilet training and diapering. The ideal candidate is required to pass a fingerprinted background check and must have a current state ID or driver's license(plastic card) in their possession. The Preschool hours are 7:45a-12:00p and we are looking for a candidate that is able to work M-F.

Responsibilities:

* Interact and play down on the floor with the children. * Provide emotional support and encouragement. * Work as a team with the lead teacher and other assistant teachers. * Reliability to come on time and when scheduled. * Willingness to diaper children and maintain health and safety licensing guidelines. * Dress modestly, be organized, and able to communicate well with adults. * Willingness to work with all ages and float from room to room with training.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.48 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
