This full-time position requires a skilled ASL-speaking paraprofessional to provide one-on-one support within a K-12 school setting. Located in Westerville, OH, this contract role will span the entire school year and will report directly to the Office of Special Disabilities (OSD). The ideal candidate will have experience working closely with students who benefit from individualized assistance, demonstrating strong communication skills in American Sign Language (ASL). Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one support to students using ASL to facilitate effective communication and learning. Assist with classroom activities and help implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Collaborate with teachers, staff, and the OSD to address student needs and progress. Support students in social, behavioral, and academic development. Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that respects student diversity. Qualifications: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) required. Experience supporting K-12 students in a one-on-one paraprofessional role. Ability to work full-time during the school year under a contract arrangement. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with school personnel. Commitment to supporting students with special needs in an educational setting.
