This position offers the opportunity to provide dedicated one-on-one support to male students with Autism in a K-12 educational setting. The role is vital in fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment tailored to meet individual student needs. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one assistance to two male students, aged 8 and 13, both diagnosed with Autism. Implement individualized support strategies to enhance educational engagement and personal development. Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to promote a positive learning atmosphere. Monitor student progress and behavior, adapting support methods as necessary. Assist with daily activities, classroom routines, and transitions to encourage independence and social skills. Desired Qualifications: Experience working with students with Autism, particularly in a 1:1 paraprofessional capacity. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support students and collaborate with the educational team. Patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering a nurturing learning environment. Familiarity with special education protocols and individualized education plans (IEPs) preferred. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies.
