Position : 1.0 FTE Social Emotional Behavioral (SEB) Special Education Teacher District : Spring Lake Park School District Schools : Westwood Middle and Intermediate Schools Grades : 58 Start Date : 2025/2026 school year Job Description : Develop and provide direct social, emotional, and behavior instruction to students Conduct formative assessments and monitor student progress to guide instructional planning Perform social, emotional, and behavioral assessments as part of triannual special education evaluations Consult with general and special education staff to support student needs Maintain detailed student records of services provided Participate in IEP and evaluation summary meetings Collaborate effectively with parents, guardians, and team members Perform other related duties as assigned Experience & Skills : Experience or willingness to work with students struggling with behavior management Knowledge of behavior intervention methods and due process procedures Ability to implement strategies for improving social skills Experience with standardized assessment tools Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds or assist with lifting heavier weights Strong communication and collaboration skills Licensing Requirements : Current Minnesota teaching license in Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD), Autism, or ABS This is a meaningful opportunity to support students in a specialized setting while working in a collaborative and student-centered environment.
